GageWater.com was created as a resouce to consolidate the reading and monitoring of USGS water gages for easy and quick access.
Personally, as a fly fisherman, I was always going to the USGS site and other apps to look at river levels, which often had issues or bugs to contend with. So, as a web developer I created my own, and built a notification system so I wouldn't have to check in to see what level the river was at, the river would tell me instead.
In building this site I came to realize alot of other people can benifit form this type of service; not only other fisherman, but also peopole who live in flood prone areas, or people who regularly use the rivers and waterways in the USA for recreational activities. With that being said, and as stated below, please do not take our services as official or reliable, this site is just a website I cooked up as a matter of convenience and a way to help people.
